LOVE MY
JOB!
My motto should be like
the postman's - "Neither rain, nor sleet or
heat, nor dark of night..." and thunderous
skies & forced gale winds! If each display I
create could ever produce the "making
of..." video, giving the Grand Entrance
touch to this event would have won me the Oscar
for 'Adventure & Creative Solutions!" I
still think in this photo I'm holding onto the
urn to make sure the 124lbs of rocks we added
was going to keep it upright! Thank goodness its
the end result we celebrate! In the next

are SIMPLY GORGEOUS
Darling!
What girl doesn't love
feeling pretty? How about glamourous, and
gorgeous! On Friday, October 22nd, local fashion
house Simply Gorgeous is
creating an evening that salutes the glamour of
the up-coming season. Starting at 6pm at The
Royal Ambassador, it's a great package that
begins with vendor displays, a formal fashion
show followed with dinner and dancing, all
capturing the spirit of getting us ready for the
Holiday Season. The evening celebrates
Caledon Community Services, and
includes both Martini and Antipasto Bars.
What truly is a great
gift, is the fact that everyone leaves with a
$100 gift certificate for their next shopping
adventure over $300 at Simply
Gorgeous!

the third annual Pink Tie Gala,
which Mille Notte
Lingerie is hosting. Rosa Alvarez
started the Caledon Breast Cancer
Foundation in 2007 ito assist local
area Breast Cancer survivors with the aid as
they need it. Grand Entrance
Design is once again an event sponsor
for this caring and spectacular evening.
Proudly, this is a unique local charity that has
attracted the attention of our community and
worthy of support. With the elegance of Pink and
an impressive selection of enterainment, it's
another MUST
event!

Home
for the
Holidays!
This years annual
Christmas Home Tour is scheduled for
November 26 & 27th in NewMarket, &
tickets are now available. The tour is hosted by
Pickering College, which
selects six homes around town to tour, including
a property on College grounds which includes a
Christmas Market, where Grand Entrance
Design has a store booth. Each
home has a creative team which includes local
area interior, exterior and floral designers who
will deck the halls, and gardens, and entrances
with every spirit of Christmas Past, Present
& Future.
This is the third year
that Grand Entrance Design has
been involved, and we were part of this lovely
home's team for Christmas 2009. I always seem to
be assigned to the charming historical homes the
area boasts!

Bursts of Spectacular
Colour!
I LOVE this time of year.
The wonderful weather we had over Thanksgiving
truly did a great job of showing off our
Grand Entrances to visitors who
were able to linger a little longer outside and
truly admire the
displays.
As Mother Nature has been
providing us some awesome weather, I wanted to
capture her "sunny" disposition as I used a wide
variety of sunflowers in this years
arrangements. The bursts of yellow do bring a
smile to your face, and as the landscape keeps
kolidascoping in technicolour, each time you
arrive home. Do take a leisurely walk, gather
leaves from your yards as you simply enjoy this
time of
year!

DeerFields
Stables is an impressive retreat
nestled in a quiet corner of Palgrave. It boasts
an impressive arena, luxury suites, spa, full
dining & corporate meeting rooms. I was
honoured to help create their Grand
Entrance as they opened their doors to

Bolton Horticultural Society Garden
Tour was a great success! Over 100 people came
to see my little garden. I was totally flattered
when they presented me with a commemorative
