The arrival
of the CNE to most marks the end of Summer; for
me, its the arrival of Downtown Bolton's
'Midnight Madness'. This year,
I decided to get all dolled up and celebrate. I
was helping Rosa Alvarez of Mille Notte
Lingerie in presenting this Autumn's Pink Tie
Gala, the annual fundraiser
for the Caledon Breast Cancer
Foundation. The coming months are all about
family & friends. From Harvest to Christmas,
there's something to celebrate - and nothing
says "Party" better than an appropriately
decorated home, business or event - and at Grand
Entrance Design, we definitely create a feast
for the
eyes!

Workshops!
For those of
you that noticed 'Grand Entrance
Design' on the Caledon Denture
Clinic's new street sign, you weren't
seeing things! Welcome to my
"WorkShop" location! Starting
September 30th, I will be conducting my first
hands-on teaching workshop, where you will be
making your own Harvest centerpiece, just in
time for Thanksgiving. There's room for 15
stations. I hope you can join us for this new
venture, and it's the first of many WorkShops
you attend!

It's the
'Great Pumpkin', Charlie
Brown!
It has been
an unusually warm summer, and with that, we are
experiencing an early Harvest. Believe it or
not, pumpkins, autumn squashes & mums are
arriving to Farmers' Markets & Nurseries.
Good thing we celebrate Thanksgiving in early
October; but I do fear that we are going to be a
little scarse for Halloween & throughout
November.
I will be
increasing the use of Replica pumpkins &
gourds this year for Urn & Window Basket
displays, and, suggesting Replica Mums. This way
your blooms remain vibrant all Autumn, not just
till the first weeks of October. That's
the great thing about the Replica:Real Ratio of

Mother Nature, and keep our Entrances looking
devine!

Couture Fashion for a Cure
Found!
Forget New York or Paris
for the preview of Fall Fashion's, Bolton is
where its at! I was a very proud decor
sponsor for the first Couture Fashion Show that
was organized by the young Fashion Divas of this
community. To capture their enthusiastic
passion, I used dramatic elements in creating 10
foot feathered structures for the catwalk and
provided a visual teaser to the Red Carpet
experience, making it a Grand Entrance to the
event. It was very inspirational, as was the
evening!
